Ron Ball

Ron is Founder of EHC-Global, a privately held Canadian Corporation comprising a group of international businesses with manufacturing plants, field service depots and licensees in 20 locations around the world. EHC-Global is the world’s largest producer of Escalator Handrails, and has grown into other ventures including Escalator and Elevator Components, Polyurethanes and Radiation Detection Systems. 

Anticipating China’s increasing importance in international business and rapidly expanding domestic market, Ron went to Shanghai in 1990 and successfully established a Wholly Foreign Owned Enterprise (WFOE). SummitRG Clients will benefit from Ron’s substantial business experiences in global markets. In addition, Clients who are contemplating or want to expand their businesses into China, can count on Ron’s personal contacts and knowledge to smooth the process. Ron divides his time between China and Canada.

George Yan

George is an integral part of the strategic planning and management teams of his Clients, assisting a number of them to achieve double-digit growth rates in annual sales and profits. George has successfully guided his Clients in establishing businesses and manufacturing plants in China, taking advantage of his broad international business experience, professional relationships within China and his language skills. George was Vice President and Officer of Phillips Cables Limited and a Board Director of BICC Research and Engineering Laboratories (BREL), part of the multi-billion dollar BICC group, now renamed Balfour Beatty plc. 

Prior to Phillips Cables, George was Head of the Electronic Systems Branch at Chalk River Nuclear Laboratories, Atomic Energy of Canada Limited. He chaired the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) meeting on Distributed Systems for Nuclear Power Plants. George is an inventor, author of over twenty technical publications, has lectured in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and was cited in the American Men and Women of Science.

Darrel McFeely

Darrell has over 35 years of experience with small and mid-market businesses as an owner, operator, lender and consultant. Prior to joining Summit RG, Darrell was a senior vice president in the business advisory group at Collins Barrow. Earlier, he was president of a well-known hockey company doing business on a global scale where he led a successful turnaround. He has also both owned and managed Tier 1 auto parts suppliers. 

Darrell was also a vice president of a private asset based lender servicing distressed businesses where he specialized in turnarounds, workouts and divestitures. Darrell has more than 15 years of experience providing interim management and strategic, operational, and financial advisory services to private enterprises in a broad range of business sectors. Darrell has been doing business in China since 1998 and has extensive personal and business connections there.

Garth Helary

Garth has over 20 years of marketing, sales and business development experience providing Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) to companies in the Telecommunications, Industrial, Multimedia, Medical, Computing, Aerospace and Defence markets.

Garth was formerly Director of Sales at Sanmina-SCI Enclosure Systems, where he developed and managed the sales of Design, Build and Integration projects ranging in sizes from $500,000 to over $40 Million. Garth is well versed in the manufacturing and integration of enclosures, thermal management, backplanes, PCBAs, as well as core competencies in product and system design, integration and supply chain management. 

Given his considerable practical and time-tested knowledge, Clients can rely on Garth to guide them in selecting and implementing effective strategic sourcing solutions to reduce costs and increase profits.

Roy Watson

Roy has diverse experience of over 30 years; from an assembly worker, to an engaged participant in the AREVA board of directors for Canada. Prior to joining summit RG Roy started a consulting company in Aiken SC, offering Lean Six Sigma tools and consultation for business improvement in the US. Prior to that he was in several leadership roles at companies as diverse as Nuclear instrumentation, high volume cookware manufacturing, and glue manufacturing. 

Roy is Master Black Belt Lean Six Sigma trained by the Schulich School of business York University. His team building implementation of concepts led to successful improvements in multiple sites. Focus on supply chain and Value analysis of core competencies were key complementary concepts used in successful business changes in conjunction with the Lean tool box; hands on implement and training were critical in developing successful and sustaining cultures.
